Lynn Main Streets’ Arts, Culture & Placemaking programs activate the heart of downtown by bringing creativity into everyday public spaces. Through initiatives like the Downtown Banner Program, sidewalk planters, volunteer‑powered beautification efforts, and cultural storytelling projects, we work to make Lynn more vibrant, welcoming, and reflective of the people who call it home. These programs celebrate local artists, support community pride, and transform our streetscapes into places where residents, visitors, and businesses can connect, linger, and thrive.

Banner Program
The Lynn Downtown Banner Program was created by Lynn Main Streets in 2025 with support from the City of Lynn, and the Office of Community Development.
The LMS’s banner program:

Sidewalk Planter Program
The Sidewalk Planter Program is one of Lynn Main Streets downtown beautification initiatives. The goal is to add planters that will assist in having our downtown decorated throughout the year. The planters will be filled seasonally with natural plantings or greenery. Thank you to the
City of Lynn for co-sponsoring this project of beautiful planters in our historic downtown. This project is funded with APRA funds.
